Moppari uses recycled cotton reclaimed from cutting waste produced by the textile industry, and the addition of a synthetic fibre gives the rope durability ensuring the longevity of your pieces.

Its 3-ply construction makes for a smooth round cord that promises well-defined and uniform knots, perfect for DIY macramé projects.

With each ply consisting of ten individual threads you can untwist the plies to create generous fringing, extending the textual elements within your work.

WORKING THE YARN

Moppari is ideal for macramé projects but can also be used for crochet, knitting and weaving. Its range of applications is only limited to your imagination. We suggest experimenting with this cord using your chosen tools and techniques to develop a fabric that best suits your needs. To get you started we can suggest the following ranges:

  •  Knitting, 6 - 9mm (US 10 – 13) needles

  • Crochet, 6mm - 9mm (J - M/N) hook

Suomen Lanka, founded in 1982, is a family run business specializing in the manufacture of warp threads and cotton cords for industrial weaving and handcrafts. Production still takes place in the small rural village of Karvala in Lappajärvi, Finland.
