Arguably the most responsive spinning wheel on the market today, Schacht Spindle Co.’s Matchless Spinning Wheel is unrivalled in its craftsmanship, capability and comfort.

Although Schacht’s core design principle is that form should follow function, the Matchless Spinning Wheel doesn’t compromise on either promise.

Constructed using traditional woodworking joinery, kiln dried hard maple timber is skilfully transformed into an efficient and sturdy wheel built for performance and longevity. Black walnut accents complete the design giving the wheel a truly unique aesthetic.

Prior to assembly every part undergoes strict quality control, and a finish of Danish oil is applied ensuring a hard-wearing finish and a silky-smooth hand-feel.

Final refinements are made before leaving the factory. Each flyer assembly is individually balanced, tensioning is fine-tuned and bobbins and flyer whorls are trued to centre. All these hands-on micro adjustments ensure your first experience with the Matchless is relaxed and spinning is smooth.

Schacht have included all their clever features that you’ve come to regard, like quick release levers for easy bobbin and flyer changes, multiple drive options to suit your preferred setup and self-aligning bearings for precise action.

The modular design encourages you to customise your experience. Optional extras include a bulky setup, high speed bobbins, various whorl sizes and a wheeled cart for travelling.
